Graphic designer Brian Currie began his 20-year design career at R. R. Donnelley in Elgin. He spent nine years as a designer at Business Media Publications in Chicago, working with clients from a range of industries including manufacturing, food service, medical supplies, logistics and more. During this time he concurrently worked as freelancer for Hanson Wilson Associates in Park Ridge, creating projects including brochures, logos, web sites, trade show displays and promotional mailers, among other projects. Brian later worked full-time for Cygnet Midwest in Aurora on catalogs, signage, web sites, logos, interactive web graphics and advertisements, including work for including prestigious clients like Portillo's and Kampgrounds of America. After stints as a contractor at Aon Hewitt and Feld Entertainment, Brian has most recently worked for Douglas Press, designing symbols, tickets and flare/seal cards for pull tab games.
Brian has created illustrations for Fox River Graphics, AMI Bearings, Pliant, Lyson, Mr. Cheaps' Mattresses, rock band Herbal Flesh Tea, Douglas Press pulltab games and 46 illustrations for the "Manufacturing Tomorrow" column in Manufacturing Today magazine.
Brian earned a bachelor's degree in art from Columbia College Chicago in 1995 and has since taken classes at the College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn), ed2go.com and the Illinois Institute of Art (Schaumburg) in graphic design, desktop publishing, illustration, advertising and website design. Brian posses expert skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, and has extensive experience with Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office, Flash, Acrobat and HTML/CSS.
